Once the initial bond has been set, a defendant can request that the bond be reconsidered and lowered. This can be done even after the defendant has been released from custody. Bondsman often encourage further reductions to reduce their exposure, in the event that the defendant fails to appear for Court. There is a limited amount of time to request the reconsideration. We routinely make these requests to the courts in order to save our clients money.
PRELIMINARY HEARING REQUESTS:
There is also a limited amount of time to request a Preliminary Hearing before the defendant forfeits their right to that important hearing. We will help you make the request and represent you at the Preliminary hearing. Click Bonds/Prelims to learn more.
